The Pushkin Museum presents the exhibition «Fabrizio Pessi. Vertical Seas,» dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the museum’s work with media art. The project will allow viewers to see for the first time a work by the Italian artist Fabrizio Pessi, one of the «pioneers» of media art, created specifically for the museum. It was with the work «Vertical Seas» that the collection of media art at the Pushkin Museum began.
As part of the educational program, excursions are planned for the exhibition, led by the project curator Alina Stulikova and participants of the «Open Laboratory,» as well as screenings of works from the media art collection of the Pushkin Museum. Discussions will also be held, focusing on the collecting of media art and on what constitutes current media art.
