The Minotaur. Leda and the Swan
The world premiere of the theatre season, which the grateful audience is eagerly awaiting, will be presented to the audience with an updated star cast. The historic stage of the Maly Theatre will be graced by People’s Artist of Russia, prima ballerina of the Boris Eifman Theatre Maria Abashova, principal dancer of the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia Denis Rodkin, a young talent — leading ballerina of the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia Eva Sergeenkova, and the world‑renowned star of contemporary choreography Ildar Gainutdinov.
Two one‑act ballets, filled with beauty, dream, passion, fear, pain, love and hatred.
The new project by the production company MuzArts is dedicated to the myths and legends of Ancient Greece, presented in a modern interpretation by contemporary artists.
The authors of the two performances are the renowned master of contemporary art — the Spanish choreographer Patrick De Bana, whose ballets are successfully staged in such theatres as La Scala, the Vienna Staatsoper, the Tokyo Ballet, the Shanghai Ballet, and others. Patrick has worked with such artists as Manuel Legris, Svetlana Zakharova, Roberto Bolle, Agnès Lététou, Aurélie Dupont, Friedemann Vogel, Mizuki Ueno, Ivan Vasiliev, Ildar Gainutdinov, and other ballet stars.
