The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts presents the exhibition «Princes Baryatinsky. Art for Heirs,» which continues a 25-year tradition of projects about prominent collecting dynasties. The Pushkin Museum introduces viewers to another name in the history of Russian culture and collecting—the Princes Baryatinsky, whose legacy remained unknown to the general public for many years. The result of a research project, over 15 years in preparation, has been dozens of discoveries, tracing the history of a single family collection and the development of Russian estate culture over two centuries.
The exhibition «Princes Baryatinsky. Art for Heirs» is a joint project of the A.S. Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, the A.A. Deineka Kursk State Art Gallery, the Kursk Regional Museum of Local History, and its branch, the Rylsk Museum of Local History.
