The Moscow International House of Music (MIDM) is a modern performing arts center. The complex’s four halls—the Svetlanovsky, Chamber, Theatre, and New (Schnittke) Hall—host concerts and performances, major international forums and recitals, presentations, holiday shows, and conferences.
The House of Music’s Theatre Hall is designed for performances and concerts. The Svetlanov Hall is unique: it houses one of the largest concert organs in Russia and Europe—an instrument of immense technical and sonic dimensions, built by a consortium of German firms Glatter Götz and Klais. The Chamber Hall hosts theatrical concerts and vocal recitals. The New Hall (Schnittke Hall) is a multifunctional hall with a transformable stage. The foyers of the halls are decorated with paintings and sculptures by renowned contemporary artists from the collection of maestro Vladimir Spivakov.
