A nostalgic jazz bar with cocktails, cigars, and punch. The 1920s atmosphere, a serious approach to music (the establishment is named after the tragic trumpeter Bix Beiderbecke), and a nightly pianist—it’s hard to imagine this on Patriarch’s Ponds, but The Bix feels right at home here. The owners of Mitzva Bar deserve credit for this beauty.
