The new stage of the State Academic Bolshoi Theatre of Russia is a modern venue that complements the theater’s historic building. Built between 1995 and 2002, it has become an important part of Moscow’s cultural scene. The auditorium’s ceiling design features sketches by Léon Bakst, revised by Zurab Tsereteli.
