The Central Academic Theater of the Russian Army, or TSATRA for short, is one of the oldest theaters in Moscow. It was created as a visiting theater of the Red Army to support the morale of soldiers. The name of Moscow’s oldest theater changed over time: from 1951 it became the Central Theater of the Soviet Army, from 1975 it became an academic theater, and in 1993 it was renamed the Central Academic Theater of the Russian Army.
