The Druzhba Universal Sports Hall is a modern, multifunctional venue located in the Luzhniki Olympic Complex at 24 Luzhnetskaya Embankment, Building 5. The building was constructed in 1979 for the 1980 Olympics and earned the nickname «The Shell» for its original architecture. After a major renovation, the hall reopened in 2024 with a renovated interior and modern technical equipment.
The central hall, with an area of 16,650 m², seats up to 3,078 spectators. It is equipped with automated telescopic stands that can extend from one to nine rows, allowing the space to be adapted to various events. The building houses three training halls, medical offices, a conference room, a press center, a café, and administrative offices.
Druzhba hosts competitions in mini-football, volleyball, basketball, dancesport, rhythmic gymnastics, and various martial arts tournaments. It also hosts cultural and entertainment events, such as circus shows and concerts.
The hall is part of the Luzhniki Sports Complex and is located near the Vorobyovy Gory metro station. It is available for rent and is suitable for both sporting and cultural events.
