Restaurants that make you want to change your usual route don’t often appear in Moscow. In Skolkovo, the Golden Hare (Lepre d’Oro), an impressive Italian restaurant by Andrey Zaitsev, became such a new address.
The bet here is not only on the kitchen, but also on a full-fledged secular and gastronomic scenario: a spacious hall with an open kitchen, floor-to-ceiling windows, a terrace drowning in real countryside greenery, secret rooms for long dinners and the recognizable chic of a suburban dolce vita. The figures of golden hares and mannequins with rabbit heads add solemnity and a certain theatricality to the place.
Carlo Scafetta is responsible for the cuisine, turning to the traditions of Campania and Lazio: crudo from Sicilian red shrimp, scallop carpaccio, handmade pasta, seafood from the raw bar, paté Lepre d’Oro and stew alla Lepre from hare and rabbit, which go straight to social networks, and profiteroles, which have already excited half of secular Moscow.
The wine list supports the scale of the project: about 300 labels with an emphasis on Italy — from well-known regions to small appellations, rare farms and bottles for rare occasions.
